Emma Potts Obituary, Good Hope Death: In Loving Memory Of Beloved, Funeral Arrangements

Emma Rylee Potts, age 13, of Good Hope, will be remembered for the light she brought into the lives of those who knew and loved her. Born on July 29, 2012, to Laura Haley Philhower and Joseph Shane Potts, Emma’s life, though far too short, left a lasting imprint on her family and community.

She is held close in memory by her parents, Shane Potts and Laura Philhower; her stepfather, Travis Philhower; her sisters, Ella Buice and Bentley Philhower; and her extended family, including her grandparents, aunts, and uncles, all of whom shared in her life and will continue to carry her memory forward.

Emma’s presence will be deeply missed at family gatherings and in the everyday moments that now feel quieter without her. She is remembered with love, and her family’s grief is shared by those who stand beside them in support during this difficult time.

A service celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, June 17 at 2:00 PM at 1025 Church, with Rev. Caleb Jones officiating, followed by interment at Hill Haven Memory Gardens.

Her memory will remain in the hearts of those who knew her, honored not only in words spoken at a service, but in the enduring love of her family.

Emma Rylee Potts, age 13, of Good Hope, passed away on June 10, 2026. She was born on July 29, 2012, to Laura Haley Philhower and Joseph Shane Potts.

She is survived by her parents, Shane Potts and Laura Philhower; her stepfather, Travis Philhower; her sisters, Ella Buice and Bentley Philhower; her uncles, Dylan Vinson, Brandon Longenecker, and Mason Dunn; her aunt, Mary Dunn; her grandmothers, Stella “Bunny” Haley, Kim Moon, and Cheryl Potts; and her grandfather, Wade Potts.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 17 at 2:00 PM at 1025 Church, with Rev. Caleb Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Hill Haven Memory Gardens. Arrangements are being handled by Meadows Funeral Home, Inc.
